With 2 of his amazing teachers! Today was Ethan's last day of first grade! This was his first year fully in a general education setting and he rocked it out! I am so proud of him and how far he has come. We still have a ways to go but I know that he will get there. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the ATEC test from the Autism Research Institute https://www.autism.com/ind_atec ATEC stands for "Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist" it is a test that anyone can use online to track the following areas: The ATEC is a one-page form designed to be completed by parents, teachers, or caretakers. I had been researching Essential Oils for hair like a crazy person because after my bout with meningitis and sepsis in November of 2014 I was home recovering and just when I thought the scary event was in my rear view mirror I noticed that my hair was falling out. It started slowly I really didn't think anything of it and then it got worse. Anytime I ran my fingers through my hair I would get dozens of strands. In the shower it was really noticeable whole chunks were falling out. They did 2 spinal taps and determined I had meningitis and even though I had heard of it and knew it was bad...
This little bottle has been sitting on a shelf by my desk for a couple of years! I made it at one of the first Make & Take classes I hosted for Young Living, since then apparently I haven't sat out in the sun long enough to need it or remember it. But today we filled the boys pool and I sat outside with them for several hours and that is about an hour and a half too long for my fair skin. This magic potion is MAGIC, it isn't the prettiest bottle on my shelf, my label making skills have vastly improved since those early days but I am thinking it might be one of the best sprays I have made! Even when I don't "need" it anymore I will probably continue to use it this summer and the rest of the year, going back and reading the recipe I had not only forgot that I made this but also all of the benefits of the oils and rose water that are in it. It is so soothing and hydrating, supports healthy looking skin all year long. The peppermint people, the peppermint is m...
